HISTORY

Patience, know-how, observation and intuition are the essential qualities to create and age our wines. Our team has shared this goal of Excellence since nearly 150 years. This passionate quest for making Rhône valley wines was born in the prestigious vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Ogier ages the greatest appellations of the Rhône valley in the ancient cellars.

ABOUT THE VINEYARDS

Location : Southern Rhône valley vineyards situated in the North of Avignon. Soil: pebbles with sandy red clay. Appellation area: 3.153 ha – basic yield : 35 hl/ha

THE WINE

GRAPE VARIETIES

Grenache – Syrah, Mouvèdre, Cinsault.

VINIFICATION

Hand harvested – traditional with a long maceration.

AGEING

In large oak barrels called “foudres” for about 6 months.

TASTING NOTES/ SERVING

COLOUR

Dark ruby colour.

NOSE

Complex bouquet with fruits and spices aromas (thyme, rosmarin and pepper).

PALATE

Full-bodied, with notes of fruits and licoriceon very silky tannins.

SERVING  TEMP.

16 – 18 ° C

FOOD MATCHING

Very pleasant with game, casseroles and tasty dishes.

CELLARING

Will reward cellaring for 3 to 5 years.
